OBJECTIVE
Attract more visitors to the Apple Ford Website on a key holiday weekend.
SOLUTION
Break through
the clutter of automotive print advertising
with a simple and extremely affordable approach
at directing prospective car buyers to the
Apple Ford website. This was achieved by creating
an eye catching humorous ad that poked fun
at the state of print media today by
using an image of a large dinosaur to help
make the point.
The ad highlighted the strengths of the Apple
Ford website in its rankings of being "#1
In Response Time" and as "Maryland's
#1 Internet Dealer" helping to drive customer
traffic to the website.
MEDIA
The quarter page ad
ran in the Auto Classifieds section of the
local newspaper during the busy Labor Day weekend. The
ad garnered attention by using simple bold
graphics and ample negative space allowing
the ad to dominate the page and break through
the noise of the competition.
OUTCOME
The campaign resulted
in a record number of sales via the internet.
